Last night the sky turned that dark orange that it does when it's about to snow. Sure enough, the first few flakes began to fall as the evening darkened, and by the time we got up this morning, everything was covered in a thick blanket of white.

R was working from home today so we got to take Baby I out in the frozen garden together. Judging from the smiles, she seemed to be a fan of the snow. Even when the wind whipped up and flung flakes in her face, she scrunched her eyes, shook her head...and carried on smiling! Phew! Bring on the snowmen, sledges and snowball fights that the next few years will bring!
