4/52

4/52.

This strip of paper has been stuck down on our living room floor all week, ready to be scribbled on whenever the mood strikes. She scribbles away, and when I ask her what she's drawing, she tells me it's a cat, a lion, a baby or a fish. I guess they could be if you squint your eyes a bit...
(Plus, check out that hurdling pose! Making her mama - and her Grandad no doubt - smile!)

  1. I love simple activities like this. Minimal expense or hassle and the possibilities are endless. However, I was slightly concerned when on of my little boys unrolled it all round the outdoor learning area last week and was pedalling the trike all over it. I was all ready to ask him why he made a poor choice when he said that he'd made a road. Doh Mrs D! I had to quickly go from being a little annoyed at wasted resources to praising his good thinking. Teaching certainly keeps you on your toes! x

    1. Ahhh, good imagination going on there, love it! I used to love covering a table with paper and putting the dinosaurs/farm animals on there - and then draw all the fields/mountains etc. I think I enjoyed it just as much as the children though... x

  2. We do this but Amelie rips up the paper! Beautiful moment captured there.

    1. You just have to make sure they don't then wander round with the crayons...or extend the drawing to the floor around the paper...! Luckily wax crayon came off the floorboards quite easily! Thanks Kate x
